It is reported that Heidi Klum and Seal are separating after nearly seven years of marriage. According to a source, the couple says that “While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate….We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart.”
The Project Runway host and singer met in 2003. Seal proposed to Heidi with a yellow diamond ring of more than 10 carats atop a 14,000-ft.-high natural glacier in the Canadian Rockies near Whistler. The couple was married in in Costa Carayes on the Pacific Gold Coast in Mexico and honeymooned in the Gold Coast resort of Manzanillo. They are parents to three biological children: Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2 and Leni, 7, Klum’s daughter from her previous marriage. During their marriage, they renewed their vows to one another on their anniversary each year.
On January 23, 2012, the host and executive producer of Lifetime’s Project Runway issued a joint statement about their splitting.
The couple was separating after almost seven years of marriage.
“This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition”, said Seal and Heidi Klum.
The couple thanked everyone for their kind words of support.
The couple is known for their elaborate matching Halloween costumes and parties.
