Lady Gaga, Highest Earning Celebrity Singer for 2011

If there is one name which is synonymous with news, controversies and hype, then it’s Lady Gaga. Everything, which the 25 year old singer does, becomes a sensation for her fans and the media.



According to a survey by Forbes.com, Lady Gaga has earned $90 million from her tours, CD sales and other promotional campaigns in 2011. She is the highest paid earning female singer according to the Forbes list. Taylor Swift, who is her main rival in the music industry, came second with less than half of her earnings. Apart from being listed in the charts as the highest earning celebrity singer, she also managed to feature in Forbes list of tomorrow’s brightest star under 30 alongside personalities like Justin Bieber and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.

Lady Gaga, who is currently visiting Japan, has planned to spend her Christmas vacation with her Japanese fans. She arrived in Tokyo in a complete black outfit on 20th Dec and since then she has been keeping her fans updated about her activities in Japan. She posted a photo of hers in Twitter and said that she feels extremely grateful to her fans, for helping her album “Born This Way” sell 1 million copies worldwide. She is scheduled to return to USA on 31st Dec to join "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" concert along with stars like Justin Bieber, Florence and Machine.

In a recent development Lady Gaga’s Twitter account was hacked and spam mails were sent out to her 17 million Twitter followers, urging them to subscribe to a particular link in order to win a free iPad. The issue was later resolved, but not before it managed to trap some of her innocent followers in its grip.

In another interesting development Donald Trump the millionaire, who hosted the Miss Universe pageant has claimed that it was he, who gave Lady Gaga her first major break as a singer in the 2008 Miss Universe pageant, which ultimately proved to be a major turning point in her career.

Along with revelers around the world, famous stars such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian made the headlines as celebrating the end of 2011 and seeing in 2012, a new year of happiness, peace and prosperity.

Receiving the honor of being chosen to ring in the New Year in Times Square, Lady Gaga alongside with Mayor Michael Bloomberg was spotted dropping the traditional ball with 30,000 lights and counting down to midnight in New York City on New Year’s Eve 2012. Interestingly, Lady Gaga and Mayor Michael Bloomberg shared a kiss in front of billions as they brought the New Year's ball down to start 2012.

The worldwide superstar Lady Gaga has spent the night in the home of her current boyfriend Taylor Kinney when she visits him in San Diego recently. Rather than staying in a five-star hotel nearby, the Marry The Night singer reportedly lives at Kinney's place which he shares with three friends. Taylor Kinney’s ex-girlfriend Brittany Sackett revealed detail about the apartment saying, “It’s really run-down” and “One guy sleeps on the couch. I can’t imagine what Lady Gaga makes of it, but maybe it’s her scene?”

Lady Gaga and actor - model Taylor Kinney first met when he played Lady Gaga’s mad scientist love interest in her "You and I" video. Although Lady Gaga is too busy for anything serious, she thinks he’s “super cute”. Taylor Kinney must have made quite an impression on Lady Gaga as the two worked together on the "You & I" set in July. A source told us, “They're hooking up and getting to know each other. Gaga can't be too committed because she works 24/7. But she thinks he's supercute!”.

Reportedly, Lady Gaga stayed in Taylor Kinney's San Diego beach shack. In the picture, Taylor Kinney is seen doing some D.I.Y in his home which has two fridges, storage boxes, piles of clothes and various pictures on the walls
