CARMELO ANTHONY and wife LALA At TIME 100 GALA Dinner

New York Knicks B-Baller Carmelo Anthony was spotted at the TIME 100 Gala Dinner For the 100 Most Influential People in the World, which included people like Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama, Bruno Mars, and more.

Carmelo looked very dapper in his black suit, deep blue tux shirt with matching kerchief, and contrasting plaid bowtie; the glasses were a nice touch, too. LaLa accompanied him very well in an understating elegant black dress done right with a vintage belt and red clutch purse (BLACK and RED go very well together).

LaLa Vasquez Sports An Edgy Look In.... Edgier New York

Wow, this is a long way from the sexy LaLa Vasquez of floral prints, whimsical, and 'strictly business' outfits. She was spotted in a toy store in New York at a book launch with her son Kiyan (aww... dressed like an astronaut).

I like LaLa's look; she's trying to adjust and fit in to the FAST LANE of New York (you gots to, 'cuz New York will eat you ALIVE!!) She looks all MATRIX-Y. Goooo TRINITY!!! *LoL*

Oh yeah, LaLa's also shopping for an apartment to rent in NYC. The ones she was looking at were in the $15,000 to $20,000 PER MONTH price range!! *Cough*

Check the Louboutins; Beyonce wore the same HOTT shoes not too long ago.

2011 All-Star Style: Carmelo's Gucci Sweater

Just doin' a fly-by. Carmelo Anthony's GUCCI striped cardigan was a good look on him. It's priced at $1,015. While the Gucci cardigan is a good look on Melo, the rest of the outfit (the jeans in particular) was not a good fit. I can't really put all the blame on Melo because for tall guys, it's kind of a challenge to find jeans that fit properly.

I'm significantly shorter than Melo (I'm 6'0") and sometimes I have a bit of challenge--sometimes falling into a scavenger hunt--to find the right jeans, with the right designs on it that I'm looking for.

Here's a tip for tall guys: make sure that the seat of the jeans fit snugly around your butt, but not too tight, and make sure that the back pockets have "flaps" on them. For some reason, it makes the butt look fuller and the legs shorter, giving you a more refined look.

Note Carmelo's jeans have too much material in the back. It's 'TALL-GUY SYNDROME':

Jeans that form a 'tail' in the back because one tries to find jeans to cover his long legs.
