Sneak Peak at Tyler Perry’s ‘For Better Or Worse,’ Will You Be Watching?

Tyler Perry is back and promoting his latest TBS show, For Better Or Worse. This show is a spin off of his popular film, Why Did I Get Married,and follows the ups-and-downs of two of the film’s breakout stars Marcus and Angela.

Shot to look more like a film, than a TV show,For Better Or Worse is part drama, part comedy, and from the looks of the extended trailer, Perry fails to master either genre. Both Michael Jai White and Tasha Smith reprise their roles from the film and bring their dysfunction to the small screen.

TBS, home of Perry’s other shows House of Payne and Meet the Browns, ordered 10 episodes of For Better Or Worse and hopes to tap into the young adult  market. Be on the look out for the show this fall.

Sources reveal that the show will likely follow a group of college best friends as they deal with life’s issues:

Carl and Leslie, a beautiful, happily married couple who want their friends to be as happy as they are;

Brian, a TV sportscaster who has a volatile yet comedic relationship with his wife, Michelle, a hair salon owner; and Janice, a therapist married to a sharp, ambitious lawyer, Jordan, who’s trying to keep his secrets secret.

According to reports, Miss USA 2008, Crystle Stewart, has already booked a part in the series, but it’s not known which part she will play

I'm THERE! Madea never fails to entertain and tickle a nerve, and also never fails to spark a few nerves of absent-minded people who STILL don't understand that "Madea" is not a Tyler Perry CROSSDRESSER, just a funny character who is portrayed as a GHETTO GRANDMA. And YESSS, there are REAL MADEAs in this country!!!!

MADEA Is The "Real" Black Swan!!! *LoL*

For some of you who don't know, I just love me some MADEA. This big old woman is talked about negatively by many "oustide" people who really don't get the concept (those that call Tyler Perry a cross-dresser) of this creative comedy. 

Sidebar: I don't get how Tyler Perry is called a CROSS-DRESSER, but you would laugh and say nothing about Martin Lawrence as "Big Momma" in BIG MOMMA's HOUSE or Jamie Foxx as "Wacky Wanda" in IN LIVING COLOR (back in the day). *SMH--shuuuut up--it's COMEDY!!*

But anyway, Tyler Perry, producer of many plays starring Madea, a 6'6, 350 lb. matriarch who keeps her family in check by slapping them and burning them with cigarettes, as well as giving LIFE lessons, had produced another movie called "Madea's Big Happy Family," due April 22, 2011. Note the similarity in the promo poster??? CLASSIC!!!

"Madea is the real Black Swan." HA!! I believe that. Haven't seen a MADEA movie yet? Try one. Get ready to be tickled silly. I know I will be on April 22 when that movie comes out. You'll find me at my favorite movie theatre, PALLADIUM 12 in Birmingham, Michigan.
