Dick Clark, Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy ring in the New Year with the countdown from Times Square in New York City, while Fergie hosts the festivities from Los Angeles. Performers include Lady Gaga; Justin Bieber; Pitbull; Hot Chelle Rae; the Band Perry; Blink-182; Christina Perri; Florence and the Machine; Gym Class Heroes; LMFAO; OneRepublic; Nicki Minaj; Taio Cruz; will.i.am; Carlos Santana; and Robin Thicke.
While introducing a performance by Beyoncé for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2012 on ABC, co-host Ryan Seacrest announced that Beyoncé would not be performing live, with a great excuse: "Obviously, Beyoncé couldn't be here tonight because she's about to give birth to her first child."
Dick Clark, who rose to musical and television fame on ABC's American Bandstand, first hosted New Year's Rockin' Eve in 1973. Here, he attempts to stay warm during one New York celebration during the early years.

After celebrating in Miami last year, Nicki Minaj will take the stage at “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve With Ryan Seacrest,” to perform some of her new music, along with Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga who will countdown to the ball drop.

The eccentric pop star Lady Gaga started her 6-minute set with the first televised live performance of “Heavy Metal Lover” before segueing into “Marry The Night” and “Born This Way.” Lady Gaga and Mayor Michael Bloomberg led the crowd in the final-minute countdown of the famed crystal-paneled ball drop.

LMFAO wasn’t afraid to show off their sexy on Saturday night. The group took the stage during the Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve special to share the big hit Sexy and I Know It on the live special. Taped in Hollywood, instead of Times Square in New York City, the group gave a fun performance that had everyone dancing around during the New Year’s Eve party.
