The “Super Bowl XLVI” came to an end on Sunday night, February 5, 2012 with the New York Giants winning over the New England Patriots by a score of 21-17. This year game, which was played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, was kicked off in style as the American idol Kelly Clarkson hit the stage to deliver a flawless rendition of the National Anthem. Clarkson was also joined by country couple Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton singing a duet of "America the Beautiful." Katy Perry also arrived at the game to catch the action. She was one among a lot of famous stars who turn up on the grounds to take part in the match between the NFL's last two remaining teams.

Carrie Underwood to Release New Album

Carrie Underwood announced that she will release her fourth album on May 1. The album’s first single will hit radio in late February. The album will feature the single “Good Girl”, which was co-written by Underwood.

The singer will be very busy in the next few weeks, appearance at the 54th Grammy Awards and performance at the upcoming Country Radio Seminar in Nashville and the Nordstrom Nashville Symphony Fashion Show featuring an exclusive presentation of Oscar de la Renta’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

Carrie Underwood’s fourth album is set to be released on May 1.

Good Girl, the title of the album’s first single, was co-written by Underwood, Ashley Gorley and Chris DeStefano.

Underwood co-wrote "Don't Forget to Remember Me" and "All-American Girl" with Ashley Gorley.

Since the release of her debut album, “Some Hearts”, the country singer has carved out one of the most successful careers in country music history. Her debut album produced three number one hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs. Her second album, Carnival Ride was certified three times Platinum. Her third album, Play On, has yielded three successive number one hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs. The "American Idol" US Top Earner has sold more than 22 million singles and 16 million albums around the world as of May, 16, 2011. In June 2011, she was ranked as the No.11 Queen of Pop by Rolling Stone magazine.

Underwood will appear at the 54th Grammy Awards on February 12 and perform at the Nordstrom Symphony Fashion Show in late February.

Underwood has won five Grammy Awards and has twice bee named Entertainer of the Year by the ACM.
