Chrysler's New 'Halftime In America' Superbowl Ad

Last year, Detroit made its initial comeback and rocked the nation with Chrysler's groundbreaking 'Imported from Detroit' Superbowl commercial. It featured Detroit native and strong supporter EMINEM and iconic Detroit buildings and sceneries (see below). This time around, the United States of America is included in the picture.

I think this year made more sense because we have Detroiters and people outside of Michigan boundaries who manufacture cars for Chrysler, and wanted to be included in the Motor City comeback but felt left out. Well, Clint Eastwood brought America all together, just to pay homage to Detroit's comeback. That's called 'HALFTIME IN AMERICA.'

Beautiful and LASTING video not just made for the Superbowl XLVI.

GQ's November 2011 Issue Is In + D-WADE Mentions That He Paints his Toenails Black!!

eminem gq november 2011 01

The GQ November 2011 issue is in! And while I love this magazine so much (I have a subscription) and want to model for it so bad I can taste it, I want to point out the art of the cover.

Check out the '3 genres of music' posted right on GQ's cover: DETROIT's own Eminem, Keith Richards, and Lil' Wayne. I call this art because these so-called music legends have very different styles of belting out songs, but they all seem intertwined into making people feel like ROCKIN'!

Not only that (because my blog doesn't cover music, just people in fashion), check out these guys' individual style. Eminem BLEEDS and REEKS of Detroit style. You can't get past the hoodie, black tee, dark denim jeans, and boots.

Keith Richards has got his own kind of old-money style with the open shirt, scarf, top hat, slacks, and simple shoes.

Lil' Wayne has that wild, West coast style with the leather jeans, white beater, and YELLOW Vans sneakers. The dreadlocks add a little Southern flavor.

I'm diggin' this variety of looks so guys of all ages, shapes, and sizes across America can get the full spectrum of the American man.

Check my next post of Dwyane Wade in GQ's November 2011 issue with his pics, and how he likes to paint his toenails black!

EMINEM & CHRYSLER's Major Tribute To Detroit In Superbowl Ad

You know, despite all the things that may be going wrong in Detroit while Detroit is on the brink of recovery, there is just something about the spirit of Detroit that just cannot be damaged. Detroiters stood strong despite massive layoffs, family troubles, city corruption, heartache and pain just a few years ago. And we were the laughingstock of the nation. We were the butt of any joke. We were pushed down in the mud...

But not anymore.

Where did our sudden renaissance come from? It's simple: A BELIEF IN PROVIDENCE. A new leader of Detroit. Ford posts billions of dollars in profit. General Motors is back on the stock market. Chrysler and Eminem releases a 2-MINUTE-LONG SUPERBOWL AD that was a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of Detroit. Take a look at the beautiful video and screen captures.

"THIS IS THE MOTOR CITY, AND THIS IS WHAT WE DO."

EMINEM In Gucci Nylon/Leather Jacket (Detroit Style)

Check out Detroit rapper Eminem's Gucci jacket when he was performing in Saturday Night Live. I thought the "Love The Way You Lie" "rapstress" wore this jacket pretty well (he doesn't have a lot of put-on swag, he's just all cool within himself like that).

The jacket's design is cool, although I wished there was more leather than nylon, and if there is more nylon than leather, the coat should be more affordable than the $1,390 price tag.

Check out more pics of the jacket:
