Check out this quick video of DOLCE & GABBANA, one of the design inspirations for my necktie line, Vintage Ties by JAIDEN Detroit. It's a behind-the-scenes look for a men's runway show.
I'm really feeling this Salvatore Ferragamo Men's Winter 2013 Collection. Tailored suits. Excellently hued shoes.dels with confidence and attitude. See what I'm talking about in the above video:
Guys, stay up on the LATEST trends through fashion show videos. Even if you may not be a guy who cares much about FASHION, in some kind of way, someone is watching you; how you carry your style game is an unspoken language of how you carry yourself. It determines whether or not you think HIGHLY of yourself.
Without further ado, check out the DOLCE & GABBANA Men's Winter 2013 Fashion Show, via FashionTV.
There seems to be a pattern or trend of gold patterns and paisley infused into blazers, pants, and socks. I'm also getting a 1920s and 1930s vibe with the undergarments.
Look for these in stores (especially paisley) in about SUMMER 2012.
Today is going to be a great day, a FASHION Saturday! Check out this Spring/Summer 2012 runway video of label GIANFRANCO FERRE. Everything about the show was very moving even though it was never over the top.
The use of materials, the fit and finish, the model's confident walks and poses, the appropriate 'wait time' for the viewer to view the couture was just super. The metallics used in the clothing was so captivating that I had to stare to see how the designer and seamstress brought it to fruition; YOU WILL, TOO! I gave the show an A- !
I have to keep a balance of masculinity & femininity in my blog this week. I've been CRAZY FOCUSED on all of these Detroit Auto Show reveals and posting them on my blog.
Now, I have a little something for the ladies and stylist: check out JUICY COUTURE's Spring/Summer 2012 fashion video and behind-the-scenes look.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL OVER THE WORLD!! Thanks for viewing The Only Jaiden!
For the holiday season, I want to share with you a few fashion show videos that I viewed on YouTube. In case you're not aware, I am a print and runway model and I'm a huge fan of fashion shows.
The first one here is from Versace's Mens Spring 2012 Show. If though the seasons may be different, fashion shows always stay at least one or two seasons ahead of the game.
Check out designer Cesare Paciotti's hott shoe designs for spring/summer 2012. The men's shoes are somewhat similar in trend to shoes like Christian Louboutin and Gucci, but with their own kind of flare, consisting of bright colors (vitamin colors), colored studs, and Swarovski crystals in place of 'pores'.
Just see the video and see why I'm FASHIONABLY MOVED by this.
Vivienne Westwood has a CRAZY STYLE OVERDRIVE that is played so well into men's collections. Check out what goes on behind the scenes to make a VIVIENNE WESTWOOD Spring 2012 collection come to life.
This is a SERIOUSLY INSPIRING and CAPTIVATING video which captures the contrast of the demure models and Vivienne's preparation for her show with the bold, attention-grabbing collection.
Hey readers, I was looking at fashion show videos on YouTube, and I came across a couple of classic ones. One of which is the TOM FORD Spring 2011 fashion featuring Chanel Iman, Beyonce, Julianne Moore, and more.
You know, despite all the things that may be going wrong in Detroit while Detroit is on the brink of recovery, there is just something about the spirit of Detroit that just cannot be damaged. Detroiters stood strong despite massive layoffs, family troubles, city corruption, heartache and pain just a few years ago. And we were the laughingstock of the nation. We were the butt of any joke. We were pushed down in the mud...
But not anymore.
Where did our sudden renaissance come from? It's simple: A BELIEF IN PROVIDENCE. A new leader of Detroit. Ford posts billions of dollars in profit. General Motors is back on the stock market. Chrysler and Eminem releases a 2-MINUTE-LONG SUPERBOWL AD that was a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of Detroit. Take a look at the beautiful video and screen captures.
"THIS IS THE MOTOR CITY, AND THIS IS WHAT WE DO."
Joshua, THE ONLY JAIDEN
I am JAIDEN. And I BELIEVE IN DETROIT. (Know what's interesting? This post is my 313th Post.)
WHOA!!!!! Check out this video of these women showcasing their 7-inch stilettos. They are CRAZY! Both can't even do a SEXY WALK. This is a FAIL all around. My precious female readers, please don't ever try this; your ankles will SNAP like chicken wings!
I just thought I'd chime in on what people were talking about for a minute --USHER. Now, of course Usher is always the subject of some woman's conversation somewhere in the world at any point of time, but this one wasn't about anything good. Check out Usher's recent performance at a concert in Berlin. He wasn't entirely into his own performance:
Close circles to Usher and fans have noticed that during his recent live performances, he has been lackluster in appearance, noticeably thinner, and sultry voice a little more on the tepid side. Of course it's great to lose weight, but it becomes a bit of a problem when a person that loses weight is ALREADY slim and in shape. I don't know what's going on, but I do hope for the best.
Willow Smith, daughter of famous movie stars/producers Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, is quite the fashionista already and by what she does, she certainly doesn't apologize for it. Often called "Rihanna's sidekick" or "Lil' Rihanna," Willow's style and energy far outpaces other kids her age---really.
In recent months, she has done outrageous things to her hair, like shave one side, then both sides of her head to sport a sideswept mohawk. She would also rock "grown-up" clothes, Rocker-style clothes that would appeal to the likes of British pop stars and Alexander McQueen couture.
Only nine years old and she's taking the Internet and media hostage with her smash hit "Whip My Hair," which was released a while back (also featured on 2010 AMA's; it still doesn't get old because the music video is so NOW, fresh and happening!
Good morning, I'm doing a quick fly-by about the American Music Awards and how I definitely noticed that the '80s era was definitely taking over the show. From start to finish, there were people from Rihanna opening the AMA with 3 amazing... well 2 amazing songs (not really feeling Love The Way You Lie Pt. 2), to Pink, Usher, and Ne-Yo setting the stage abalze with eye-popping outfits and hairdoes and mullets galore.
Just check out pics and videos from 2010 American Music Awards below:

HMMM... I smell an '80s fashion trend...comin' 2011...rollin' in the wind....
Wassup in the "D" and everywhere else, everyone! Today is Haute Couture Saturday. Every Saturday is when a runway fashion show is displayed here, in video, featuring women and menswear from lines like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Balenciaga, and more. These labels can be found in local boutiques and in the Detroit area's Somerset Collection in Troy, MI. Below are latest videos from Luciano Burgos video collections:
At times, I still struggle to tie a bow tie. I can tie a normal necktie, but a bowtie is that EXTRA SPECIAL thing that we guys have to master. Watch Swizz Beatz teach us how to tie a bowtie.
Just swung this post in as soon as I saw one of the music videos of Rihanna's upcoming album "LOUD." This music video, "What's My Name," is a steamy, flirty, lovey-dovey duet with Rihanna and Drake. FYI, this song rocketed from #60 to #1 song on the Billboard charts. I bet Drake is thrilled for this moment with Rihanna since he actually REALLY wanted her.
Rihanna is very LOUD walking down the streets of New York in such a crazy outfit that dares to attract attention. It's commanding, wacky, in-your-face, WOW!! Topped off with flowing red locks, Rihanna trots around town and cozies up in an apartment with Drake, a NIIIICE couples' moment.
Check out the music video "What's My Name" below. It's a real nice video; nice to see somebody in bright and good spirits.
See you in the next post. Comment!! Rate!! I'm talking about my site and how I'm doing so far!! Representin' Detroit with fashion!
Just wanted to share this cute Sesame Street vid. If I had kids (esp a daughter), this is the kind of message that I would want her to get while watching Sesame Street.
