Just a few pictures I want to show you for this weekend. I'm watching Whitney Houston's Celebration service televised live on BET, and I didn't want to leave y'all hanging, so here's a few pics.
I have Solange Knowles from her recent photo shoot, I love the denim and the tiny scarf she has on her neck. Perfection.
And here's Wendy Raquel Robinson from BET's 'The Game,' aka 'Tasha Mack' or 'Pow, Pow, Pow!'. She's a stunning and sometimes vicious actress who embodies beauty for her person her age. Go COUGARS! ROWR!!! LoL
In the passing of global superstar Whitney Houston, it's nice to see someone having a little fun here. Check out Ciara, who recently dyed the lower part of her wavy locks blonde. It is reported that she will sport this new look on the 54th Grammy Awards!
R. Kelly is one of those people that are hard to keep up with. One minute he’s playing with underage girls, the next he’s making music for the grown and sexy. Now he’s doing something completely unexpected. No surprise there.
*R. Kelly has announced details of a 5-day cruise liner performance
...dubbed the "Love Letter Cruise" Fans will have the chance to join the singer on board as the cruise sets sail from Miami and tours through the Caribbean in October 2012.
The concert promises to present a "fabulous performance, never before seen at sea". Kelly, has also said he'll be bringing along "special guest artists" for the trip.
It'll also offers passengers food, aerobics classes and pampering treatments.
Earlier this summer the R&B star vowed he would return after he recovered from emergency throat surger in mid-July to have an abscess on one of his tonsils removed.
"I want to say thanks to all the prayer warriors out there for supporting me. And praying for me," he told fans at the time.
R. Kelly is known for tracks like Vibe, I Believe I Can Fly and Ignition.
The three-time Grammy award winner has also written tracks for a host of artists including Michael & Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Usher and Britney Spears.
The singer will be wooing ladies probably right out of their bikinis while on the ocean to who knows where. (Can we say that?!)
The R. Kelly cruise will leave Miami on Oct. 1 next year and will make stops in Grand Turk and several spots in the Bahamas.
This is without a doubt the biggest night of the year so far, for musicians, and also for the viewers. The GRAMMYS is a two-way excitement, a two-way magical night for artists to claim such a prestigious award for their hard work.
And here on THE ONLY JAIDEN, this is the little ol' spot where artists are showcased for their fashion sense, and where better to start that off (this is my first Pre-Grammy/GRAMMYs post) with a couple of pics that I'll post up so you can see:
Diddy and Randy Jackson - this photo is a little odd to me. I don't know... IT JUST IS.
Sanaa Lathan
Whitney Houston and Dionne Warwick - a great DUO
R. Kelly
Jennifer Hudson
Ciara and Monica - Hott In Nude Colored clothing
Keri Hilson and Toni Braxton (Toni got thick thighs, love it, but.. something's a little off about the face)
...And many more were there... As I looked through several pics of musicians and actors at Clive Davis's Pre-Grammy Party, and compared from years before, the way just about all of them were dressed was quite spot-on.
Whitney Houston performs at London's O2 Arena, Apr 25, 2010
*Here we go again.
In a headline appearing in London’s Daily Mail, Whitney Houston was referred to as “bloated, bedraggled and out of tune” on the latest stop of her troubled “Nothing But Love” world tour. Some 20,000 fans showed up at London’s O2 arena Sunday night and greeted the diva with wild cheers, according to the newspaper. But, “once again the voice that had left her contemporaries reeling in its wake, was a former shadow of what it used to be,” wrote reviewer Georgina Littlejohn. [Story continues below.]

The review continued:
After stumbling half-heartedly through her signature song “I Will Always Love You,” Houston, who has suffered her fair share of drug problems in the past, said: “She don’t want to come, my soprano friend.” She added: “Sometimes the old girl sings, but not tonight. I want to do it, but she doesn’t want to. … She’s getting a little … temperamental, even.”
She struggled further with another of her classic songs, this time cutting short “Greatest Love Of All,” only managing to pull of a couple of verses.
And during much of the set she paused and panted for breath between songs while her backing singers did a great job of carrying her with their melodies.
Her outfit also left a bit to be desired. She came on stage in tight leather trousers, a sequinned jacket that struggled to fasten at her middle and a bloated face.
Whitney did manage to stay on stage for the majority of the two-hour gig, her first of three at the Docklands venue. But fans were still unhappy, with some even demanding their money back.
