Danny Gokey’s manager has confirmed that the singer of American Idol’s season eight has tied the knot to model Leyicet Peralta. Alum Danny Gokey and his new wife engaged in late December 2011, three years after the tragic death of his first wife Sophia.
Danny Gokey’s wedding to Leyicet Peralta was spotted to take place in Florida on Sunday, January 29, 2012 in front of their family and friends. The newlyweds shared that they are so happy to have met each other and now they can spend the rest of their lives together. The couple also said: “We pray our gratitude grows more every day because there is so much for us to do now.”

Alum Danny Gokey’s wedding to Leyicet Peralta is the second marriage for this man. His first wife Sophia, whom he met and fell in love in high school, died at young age of heart disease in 2008. Gokey has fallen in love with Peralta, who also has the desire to help pitiful people.

On their wedding, Gokey and Peralta asked their guests that all gifts should be in the form of a donation to Sophia's Heart, a children's charity that honors the memory of Gokey’s unlucky wife. Gokey and Peralta celebrated their big day with a wedding cake that the singer calls “three tiers of chocolaty heaven.”
