Forbes’ Top Earning Female in Music 2011: Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and More

The “Marry the Night” singer Lady Gaga scores number one spot in list of top-earning female in music 2011 by Forbes. Reportedly, her income is more than double the estimated earnings of both Taylor Swift and Katy Perry who land on the 2nd and 3rd on the list. The numbers reflect earnings between May 2010 and 2011 with date from Pollstar, RIAA and others, in addition to interviews with industry insiders such as lawyers, managers, agents, concert promoters and, in some cases, the musicians themselves. Rounding the top 10 list are Beyonce ($35 million), Rihanna ($29 million), Pink ($22 million), Carrie Underwood ($20 million), Celine Dion ($19 million) and Britney Spears, who ties with Alicia Keys at $10 million.

According to Forbes, Lady Gaga has earned a whopping $90 million from profits of her Born This Way album, wildly-successful Monster Ball Tour, and multiple endorsement contracts, including deals with Polaroid, Virgin Mobile, Monster Cable and PlentyOfFish.com.
