At a press conference held at the Four Seasons in NYC where Mariah Carey was unveiled as the new ambassador for Jenny, the singer apparently took a dig at Kim Kardashian's recent divorce.
"I'm a real person, I'm not going to put on a fake face for Hollywood," Carey told the crowd as she dished on her marriage to hubby Nick Cannon, with whom she shares six-month-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.
"Sometimes we make each other mad, that's why we aren't divorced after four months," she cracked to host Gayle King.
The audience gasped at Carey's comment, prompting the diva to apologize, "I'm sorry, I'm just saying."
In the video, ( seen below) Carey puts her hand over her mouth after the crowd's reaction.
Given the average length of high-profile marriages in Hollywood, Carey's jab could have been aimed at just about anyone,
but considering that Kardashian filed for divorce just last week, it was not unreasonable for the audience to assume that Carey was taking a jab at Kardashian.
